Nick's professional athletic career forged an instinct for performance and precision that you simply can't learn in a classroom. Johnny's decades of hands-on trade experience mean nothing gets built without the right foundation, the right process, and the right people doing the work.
Together, they've built a company where resort-style pools, outdoor kitchens, full property transformations, and tour-quality putting greens are all held to the same standard: if a detail can be done better, it will be. Johnny is a second-generation landscaper with a lifelong passion for outdoor design and construction. He began his career in California, starting as a manual laborer and working his way up through every aspect of the trade — gaining the craftsmanship, discipline, and attention to detail required to create truly exceptional outdoor spaces.
After relocating to Texas, Johnny partnered with Nick to co-found Outdoor Concepts, combining decades of practical, ground-level experience with a shared vision for quality landscaping. As co-owner, Johnny brings industry knowledge that spans every level of the business — from design and installation to project management and crew leadership.
His background working at every stage of the trade means he understands projects from both the client's and the crew's perspective, ensuring every landscape is built with precision, durability, and care.
Nick spent years competing at the highest levels of professional golf, developing a deep, hands-on understanding of what makes a putting surface truly perform — the speed, the grain, the slope, the feel underfoot. That experience directly shapes every green Outdoor Concepts builds.
As co-owner and founder, Nick brings a level of expertise to putting green installation that goes far beyond landscaping. From selecting the right turf materials to engineering the perfect subsurface and shaping contours that mirror real greens, Nick personally ensures every installation meets a professional's standard.
