Full Property Remodel
A sophisticated landscape redesign featuring new irrigation systems, premium sod, ornamental plantings, and hardscape elements. This project showcases our ability to work within established neighborhoods while delivering modern design.
Project Details
Two builds in one — a generous front yard with classical curb appeal and a compact backyard where every amenity had to fit into tight margins. Landscape plan by Blount Designs. Key elements included:
Front Yard: Full sod lawn, structured boxwood hedging, sculpted topiaries, bluestone walkway, and seasonal bowl planters around a preserved mature tree.
Pool and Spa: Built in a compact backyard with close setbacks — excavation, flatwork, and grading sequenced carefully with limited staging area.
Synthetic Turf: Used as a precision material — narrow strips between pavers poolside, panels around lounge pads, and a diamond grid pattern on the side-yard basketball court.
Basketball Court: Concrete pads with turf-filled joints and a mounted hoop — turning a dead side yard into functional play space with proper drainage underneath.
Privacy Screening: Dense evergreen row along the full back perimeter with boxwood and lower shrubs for ground-level coverage.
Seasonal Color: Rotating container plantings at the front entry — refreshed seasonally to keep curb appeal sharp without touching permanent beds.
Challenges and Solutions
Two Different Build Conditions: Front had room and access. Backyard didn't. Materials staged through the front during early phases, then shifted to tighter logistics once completed.
Mature Tree Preservation: All underground work routed around the root zone — hand-digging, offset trenching, no equipment under the canopy.
Compact Backyard Drainage: Pool deck, turf, pavers, and screening beds leave minimal permeable surface. Subsurface drainage handles what the ground can't absorb.
Precision Turf Work: Each panel required individual subgrade prep, custom cuts, and tight seaming — more labor per square foot than standard coverage.
